After more than 25 years in the game, Mary J. Blige is being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony takes place next Thursday Jan. 11 in front of the Eastown building on Hollywood Blvd.
According to Page Six, Blige has recently been recognized for her work in Tinseltown via a Golden Globe, SAG, and Critics’ Choice Award for her role as Dee Rees’ in Mudbound as well as her sonic contribution for the film track “Mighty River.” Thus, Ana Martinez, the producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, couldn’t be more proud to honor MJB with a Hollywood star in the recording category.
Mary has amped up her on-screen appearances as of late, guest starring on shows like How to Get Away With Murder, Empire, and 30 Rock.
We see you, Mary.
